Toasty buns with a sweet, lightly spiced glaze and melted swiss cheese... So darn good! These sliders are perfect for lunch after skiing or hiking! They would also be a great addition to your party fare. Or a quick, weeknight meal. Truly, these sliders are the ultimate in comfort food sandwiches!
Go get this stuff and make them!
12 soft, small whole wheat dinner rolls
1 package of smoked ham
1 package of Jarlberg Swiss cheese
6 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp onion, finely minced
1 Tbsp spicy brown mustard
5 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp kosher salt
I often prepare the sauce the night before.
Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl and microwave for a minute. At this point, you can refrigerate the sauce. Simply re-warm in the microwave when you’re ready to use it.
Prepping the sliders:
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Slice dinner rolls in half and open flat.
Slice each piece of ham into 4 pieces. Layer 3 pieces of ham on each bun.
Slice each piece of cheese into 4 pieces. Layer 3 pieces of cheese over the ham.
Spray a cookie sheet with Pam and place each sandwich on it.
Drizzle the sauce over each slider.
Cook for 12 - 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
Some of the cheese will brown, as noted in the photo below ...
so darn good!
