Artistic Journey

Creative Rubber Stamping - A Journal of my Artistic Wanderings

Temecula, California - a little piece of heaven - captured in my yard

My artistic journey has come to mean many things. It's not just the creative results of time spent in my 'art room' - it includes stunning photographs I happen to capture in my lens, as well as moments in life where I'm doing what I love to do.

In the photo below, I'm off the groomed ski run and checking out a bit of woods off trail in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado.

My new favorite stamp!

I don't know...it just speaks to me...

The stamp is unmounted and so you'll have to have some E-Z cling foam cushion on hand to get it ready for stamping...

I was playing around with it yesterday - trying to create a windy, March Day...

It's a start...

Here I used another new stamp - a modern background stamp from Victorine Origonals... ink used: Versa Mark Chalk ink in Aegean Blue... I find myself reaching for this background stamp again and again...as you can see...

Getting back to the card at hand ... I ended up using the image to create a fun Spring card...

The - "While the March Winds Blow..." image - constitutes the cover, but upon opening the card ... I've included the text: "Scatter Seeds" ... and include a packet of wildflower seeds for the card's recipient to scatter...

Stamps used:

Dragonfly Flower by Leigh Hannon

Stamped in 'Denim' Adirondack dye ink

Background created with a Hero Arts 'distressed background' stamp with Memento ink in Dandelion.

Pattern created with Versa Mark Chalk Ink in Aspen mist with a patterned Harlequin stamp by Catslife Press.

(Sorry to do this to you but these are good! ) ... No Bake Chocolate Crunch Cookies made with Milky Way Candy Bars

3 bananas sitting on my counter got turned into this amazing Banana Bread ... it's awesome! We're talking Blueberries, Bananas, Pineapple and Coconut... mmmm...

Here's the recipe for the Absolute Best Blueberry Banana Bread evah...

recent cards...

Background: scrap booking card stock

Torso created with template from purchased paper stock.

Metal rimmed tag created from paper scraps matching the torso.

Embellishments: paper clip, felt flower, butterfly (created with a paper punch), postage stamp, paper flower with glued on rhinestone ...

I made a couple of these cards to say 'hey' via snail mail with some friends ....
