TIPS ON GATHERING PETITION SIGNATURES"
• If you are circulating this petition among family and friends you can sign the petition in the signature area, as well as the Circulator area one time…
• After this, you will be solely signing petitions as a Circulator.
• Only one County can be represented on each petition form, no exceptions. Start a new petition for each County. The Circulator ( signature gatherer ) does not have to be from the same county as the signers.
• Please advise all signers of this petition to fill out the signature area neatly and completely…if a petition line is incomplete or illegible it can risk all the signatures on that page. Encourage neatness and completeness!
• While you are explaining the intent of this petition to a potential signer, please remind them that in order for a signature to be considered valid the information in the signature box such as the printing of their name and their residence address must be legible, complete and correct. Name of your city, and words like ‘Lane’, ‘Drive’ and ‘Road must be written out. Do not abbreviate!

In the wake of the resounding success of the 9-12 march on Washington DC, which saw the largest political gathering in our nation’s history, our momentum and fervor is stronger than ever. The overwhelming sentiment now among all tea partiers across the nation is “let’s keep the pressure on!”, and “let’s do something big!” Well, here is our chance….
In California, the Tea Party Patriots have launched the Citizen Power Campaign, aimed at changing politics in California forever by qualifying an initiative – your initiative - for the November, 2010 State ballot. This initiative will take California back from the huge financial influence of partisan public employee unions.
Today, the government takes money from public employees, and directly transfer it to the unions who then turn around and contribute that money directly to politicians and political causes. No other group can utilize the power of the state to collect dues which are used for political contributions. This egregious abuse of power is bankrupting our state, and creates a “rigged game” where average citizens no longer have a voice.
There are several key reasons why now is the perfect time for us to rally together to pass this critical initiative:
– The state of the economy;
– Widespread populist outrage over the expansion of government, much of which is already being blamed on the public employee unions;
– The recent Supreme Court decision upholding Idaho’s ability to ban the government from automatically collecting dues from public employee unions for political purposes
Our strategy is simple – we will be the grassroots army who will qualify this initiative for November 2010. We’ll use everything we’ve learned, apply our collective wisdom and gather the signatures needed to qualify the initiative. Once qualified, we’ll use a grassroots, web-based public education campaign and vote-drive.
This is political 'speak' for, “we’ll keep doing what we’ve all been doing, only we’ll do even more of it and we’ll do it better.” Just our sheer numbers and wide variety of efforts will force the unions to spend tens of millions of dollars to fight it. It’s a classic battle of the underdog. But we crushed them in the battle on Proposition 1A, and with your leadership, we intend to do it again.
This is going to be a long, hard fight. We will need to collect 1.1 million signatures. This is not single rally, but more like a marathon, and we will need the sustained commitment and energies of all Tea Party Patriots to take back our state. We’ll have to be more organized, more committed and more efficient than ever.
In our opinion, there is no more important issue in the state than this right now. Before we can accomplish our main goal of restoring fiscal sanity to our state government, we have to level the political playing field. Once we are successful here in California, we will duplicate this campaign in every other state in America that permits the ballot initiative process. In this way we will begin to return the power to the citizens of California, and the entire nation.
Together we can return California to the days when it was truly the “Golden State.”
Voter Registration
One of the best avenues for collecting signatures is the Voter Registration Table.
Join me and get out there and use the voter registration table as your voter education table. While you register voters, educate them on the truth!.. and collect signatures on active petitions. You can put together single-issue fact sheets with real information from reputable institutions like Heritage, CATO and NCPA and expose the Congressional Democrats for who they are ..corrupt, unconstitutional and unable to make a single decision on their own because they're tethered like dogs on chains by Unions and Special Interest.

Here are the findings of a recent report provided to the California Small Business Association and National Federated of Independent Businesses of California of the costs associated with the implementation of AB 32. Also attached is a brief summary of the facts and figures for a quicker glance.
The implementation costs of AB 32 could easily exceed $100 billion upfront
Increased costs to customers and lost profits will impede business’ ability to survive and grow
The shift in spending will result in higher costs to California households of $3,857 per year
With 13,530,719 household units in California in 2008, the total cost of just housing, transportation, natural gas, electricity and food expenditures exceeds $52 billion
The implementation of AB 32, results in an increase of costs to small businesses by 4.5% of its total costs, which results in $63.895 billion in increased costs on sale receipts of $1.578 trillion
Findings:
The direct AB 32 cost of $24,878 billion would result in a total loss output of $71.464 billion annually for the State of California – also resulting in roughly 500,000 job cuts
The direct cost of $52.194 billion cost to consumers results in a total loss output of $149.2 billion annually – also resulting in 900,000 job cuts
The direct cost of $63.895 billion to small businesses results in a total output loss of $182.649 billion annually – also resulting in 1,100,000 job cuts (3% of California’s population)
Indirect business taxes that would have been generated due to the output lost arising from the ARB cost is $2.3 billion, from the costs of consumers is $4.7 billion, and from costs to small businesses is $5.8 billion.
The total AB 32 cost of $182.649 billion in lost output is one and a half times the total budget for the state of California

9/12 Temecula Tea Party

Free Americans coming together in Temecula were blessed with a slight breeze as they gathered on 9/12 at the Duck Pond. Entertainment was provided down at the Gazebo by Michael Chain and his band.

These patriotic musicians have been over to Iraq numerous times to entertain the troops and on 9/12 they collected over $300 in proceeds for Wounded Warriors as the total purchase price of their CDs for sale at the Tea Party went to this worthy charitable group.
There was a great line up of speakers along with a well-organized, signature gathering table that collected more than 1000 signatures on state-wide petitions. 8 different counties were represented in Temecula on this Sunny Saturday; as were both young and old.
Tea Party folks lined every side of the intersection of Ynez and Rancho California road holding their homemade signs that caused, what sounded like, non-stop honking! To be sure, it is the strongest response we have had yet here in Temecula.
America is awakening to this threat to our freedom; a freedom that is ingrained is all of us and is worth defending. The weather was great, the company was even better and the spirit of freedom was in the air as we took a stand against this over-reaching government alongside our fellow Americans in Temecula and in solidarity with our fellow, freedom loving Americans nation-wide.
